In celebration of the Provincial Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Month, the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Benguet continues the Benguet Biz Boost: MSME Modular Training, equipping selected MSMEs from across the province with knowledge and skills to strengthen and grow their enterprises.This week's sessions featured Module 6: Supply and Value Chain Management, facilitated by Benguet State University (BSU) resource speakers Rodham B. Bandao, Mark B. Bulangen, and Windy P. Darit, and Module 7: Basic Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Financial Management, discussed by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) resource speaker Rachid Albert D. Cordillerans from across the region joined the kickoff ceremony of the 39th Cordillera Month celebration at the Benguet Sports Complex Gymnasium in Wangal, La Trinidad on July 1.This year's celebration is hosted by the Provincial Local Government Unit of Benguet, led by Governor Melchor D. Diclas and Vice Governor Marie Rose T. Fongwan-Kepes, in partnership with the Regional Development Council-CAR, chaired by Apayao Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr., through its Economic Development (EconDev) Committee led by DTI Regional Director Raymond G. Panhon as the lead. It carries the theme, "Smart Cordillera: Enabling Local Enterprises through Digital Transformation and Accelerated Regional Autonomy."Solidarity messages were delivered by representatives and local chief executives from the six provinces and Baguio City, followed by the ceremonial beating of the gong, a symbolic display of unity, by Cordilleran leaders, representatives from line agencies, the private sector, civil society organizations, and the delegates from across the Cordillera. JULY 15 DECLARED SPECIAL NON-WORKING HOLIDAY FOR 39TH CORDILLERA CELEBRATIONJuly 15 has been declared a special non-working holiday in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in celebration of the 39th anniversary of the creation of the region.Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas said the main program of the regional celebration will be held at the Benguet Sports Complex Gymnasium in Wangal, La Trinidad.
