Mandate

  • Supervision, establishment and maintenance of sound human resource program and related activities designed to promote career growth, succession planning, and personnel development.
  • Plan, recommend, coordinate, and supervise projects, programs and activities on human resources related matters;
  • Enforce rules and regulations relating to recruitment, appointment, separation of officials and employees, employee discipline, and other personnel actions and uphold the merit principle in the Provincial Government;
  • Wage and salary administration, ensure employee welfare and benefits;
  • Rewards and recognition, performance management evaluation;
  • Assist in the continuing study and analysis of the internal organization and management practices with the end view of instituting administrative reforms; and
  • Liaise with other Government agencies on human resource matters.
