BENGUET PROVINCIAL COOPERATIVE CONGRESS 2026The Provincial Government of Benguet, through the Provincial Agriculture Office, in partnership with the Cooperative Development Authority-Cordillera Administrative Region (CDA-CAR) and the Benguet Provincial Cooperative Development Council, successfully conducted the 13th Benguet Provincial Cooperative Congress as part of the 2026 Cooperative Month Celebration on October 15, 2026, at the Benguet Sports Complex Gymnasium, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet.Anchored on the theme, “𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐎𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐁𝐀: 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧,” the program featured updates on the status of cooperatives in Benguet delivered by Atty. Katherine F. Ellorin, Regional Director of CDA-CAR; and presentations of programs and services of BENECO, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), and the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC). In addition, the BSUCMPC thru its BOD Chairperson Mr. Joel Peredo shared their best practices and challenges.The celebration also featured Information and Education Campaign (IEC) activities conducted by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and PCIC, providing participants with valuable information on their respective programs, services, and initiatives.Meanwhile, BENECO set-up welfare desk to provide assistance and information to consumers and member-owners and BIR to accommodate queries of clients.Through these activities, the celebration strengthened collaboration among cooperatives, government agencies, and partner institutions in advancing cooperative development and building more resilient and empowered communities.
