In the first set, the team established an early 4 to 5 point advantage and maintained control through disciplined play and steady defense. With the score climbing to 18-11, Benguet looked poised for a dominant finish.Apayao attempted to rally following a brief Benguet hiccup marked by two errors and an ace that trimmed the lead to 19-15. The Eagles mounted a 4-0 run, forcing a second timeout and momentarily shifting the momentum. However, Benguet quickly regrouped. A service error by Apayao, followed by two crucial aces, widened the gap to 22-15 and prompted another Apayao timeout. Despite an exchange of points late in the set, an Apayao error sealed the 25-18 win for Benguet.The second set proved to be a tighter contest. Apayao surged to an early 4-2 lead, but Benguet answered to tie the score at 5-5.
