This is what you have worked hard to achieve of which your family and teachers have a right to be proud.
Honoring your achievements is something that I and the entire community look forward to because this is one of the most important days of the year where we see the fruit of your hardships and celebrate your success as well as the continued support, dedication, and sacrifices of your passionate teachers, parents, and guardians.
The pandemic may have caused you a lot of challenges, but you have continued to pursue one of your dreams which is to finish this chapter of your education. And as you begin with another stage of your educational journey, may you always remember how you were able to surpass all the obstacles that came you way.
May you always have the skills and knowledge you have acquired from your teachers, more so the values you have learned all through the years because they are your weapons against chances of disappointments and hindrances as you continue to chase your ambition in life.
As responsible graduates and as our future leaders, you should create goodness around you with your values, ideas, and hard work. I would like to see you hold on to these values and work to build a better community.

My warmest greetings to the people of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) on the occasion of its 34th Founding Anniversary on July 15, 2021 with the theme, “Working together towards Cordillera autonomy through Green recovery.
With our collective aspirations toward regional autonomy, may we continue our strong culture of camaraderie in fulfilling our visions as proud and progressive Cordillerans especially with the challenges brought by the CoVID-19 pandemic.
It is my hope that we carry on all the values we have learned from our forebears especially in our pursuit for regional autonomy.
The province of Benguet has also been supportive of Green recovery through tree-planting activities, regular clean-up drives, beautification and environment-friendly projects. This shows how we value our beloved region and our cultural heritage which our forefathers have fought for and have taken good care of so we can have a peaceful and healthy land to live in.

P4.13M Coffee Trading Center inaugurated in La Trinidad
Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas together with PRDP North Luzon Deputy Project Director Elma Mananes, OIC-Regional Executive Director Cameron Odsey, and representatives from Congressman Eric Go Yap’s Office led the Inauguration and Turn-over Ceremony for the Benguet Coffee Trading Center in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet on July 9, 2021.Governor Diclas said the construction of the Benguet Coffee Trading Center will help not only in increasing the income of coffee growers but also in increasing productivity and marketability of coffee products especially that Benguet coffee is widely known as one of the most delicious coffee.This facility is also seen to enhance the contribution of the Province in attaining food security in the country.Further, Governor Diclas also acknowledged the effort of the previous administrations in the initial processes done for the successful implementation of the said project.The P4.13-million building which was funded through the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) with counterpart funds from the Provincial Local Government of Benguet is a one-storey facility with a roof deck, rest rooms, and five other rooms which will serve as storage area, sorting room, receiving area, and office of cashiers.Meanwhile, Dir. Mananes thanked Governor Diclas for his full support not only for the said project but also for other PRDP projects which are indeed beneficial for the constituents of Benguet.Representatives from the 11 proponent groups of the enterprise led by the lead proponent Kibungan Arabica Coffee Growers Multi-Purpose Cooperative accepted the facility and committed themselves into fulfilling its purpose.The ceremony was also attended by different officials from the Department of Agriculture and the Provincial LGU.
Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas continues to dispatch personnel of the Provincial DRRMO to conduct emergency clearing operations on farm-to-market roads to ensure the safe travel of farmers especially during the rainy season. Recently, a two-day clearing operation has been conducted on various portions of the 4.2-kilometer Indawak-Andolor farm-to-market road in Tabaan Sur, Tuba, Benguet. #HEALTHIERBenguet #UnitedBenguet
Representing the Province of Benguet on the international stage, the Benguet Dancesport Team composed of students from Benguet National High School (BeNHS) and Benguet State University (BSU) racked up medals in solo categories of the recently concluded 20th Seoul Cup Korean Open 2021 1st Online Dancesport Competition on June 26-27, 2021.
Charibelle Pingawan, the team’s coach, said the competition only held solo categories as contact sports are still not allowed due to restrictions brought by the CoVID-19 pandemic.
The 11 members of the team did not fail to make the province proud as they confidently did their outstanding dancesport moves and definitely owned the dance floor which put them all through the semi and quarter-finals, if not, as qualifiers.
The team won three silver medals, five bronze medals, and several spots in the finals (top 4, top 5, and top 6).
Meanwhile, these awesome dancers along with two more members also showed their splendid moves during the The Jamili’s Scholarship Cup, a national online dancesport competition, on June 12 and 13 where they made the province of Benguet even prouder as they also copped several medals in solo categories.
Being able to win one Gold medal, two Silver medals, three Bronze medals, and spots in the semi and quarter-finals, and in the finals, Pingawan said they were able to make it to the Top 6 in the team standing qualifying the medalists and her as the coach in the 4-session training scholarship of the Jamili’s Scholarship where they will be trained by international trainers.
The Provincial Government of Benguet headed Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas through the Sports Development Office headed by Dean Mark Monang under the Special Services Unit of the Provincial Governor’s Office extended its support to the Benguet Dancesport Team by shouldering their registration and food during the said competitions.
Governor Diclas said he was amazed by the performances of the team and that they absolutely made the province so much proud. Further, he said he hopes to see more of their performances on the national and international stages and inspire more young people.

Blessing and turn-over ceremony for the newly constructed Modified Isolation Facility of Itogon in Malasin, Ucab, Itogon Benguet on June 29 led by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas, Congressman Eric Go Yap, and Mayor Victorio Palangdan.
This 28-bed-capacity isolation facility worth P12.1 million will help decongest the number of CoVID-19 patients being admitted to the different Provincial TTMFs in case of surge in CoVID-19 confirmed cases.
The Provincial Government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas joins the inter-agency clean-up drive activity along several sections of barangay and provincial roads in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet on June 30, 2021, organized by the Department of Education Cordillera Administrative Region (DepEd-CAR) headed by Regional Director Dr. Estela Cariño in support of the Dengue Prevention Program of the Department of Health (DOH).
Provincial, municipal, and barangay local government officials; representatives from academes and other sectors; and media practitioners attend the Freedom of Information (FOI) orientation organized by the Provincial LGU headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas through FOI-Provincial focal person Mr. Francis Likigan, at the Ben Palispis Hall, Capitol Building on June 28, 2021.
The orientation was facilitated by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) led by PCOO Assistant Secretary Atty. Ana Maria Paz B. Rafael and Undersecretary Atty. Kristian R. Ablan.
Also present during the orientation were Governor Dr. Melchor Diclas, Hon. Fernando Balaodan Sr., Hon. Melchor Guessey, and Hon. Jeston Balong-angey.
The Provincial Government of Benguet is the second LGU in the country to have passed a Provincial Ordinance Operationalizing the Freedom of Information (FOI).
Freedom of Information (FOI) allows Filipino citizens to request any information about government transactions and operations, provided that it shall not put into jeopardy privacy and matters of national security.
The FOI mechanism for the Executive Branch is enabled through Executive Order No. 2, series of 2016.
