A total of 321 additional Benguet college students signed their Notice of Award (NOA) and attended the orientation as scholars under the Tulong Dunong Program-Tertiary Education Subsidy (TDP-TES).
Held on Thursday, March 20, at the Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC), the program is implemented by the Commission on Higher Education-Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR), led by Atty. Septon A Dela Cruz, CESO III, through the UniFAST Unit.
Governor Diclas congratulated the students and emphasized the critical role of education in shaping their futures. He also thanked CCDC for its contributions to community development through quality education.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sherry Junette M. Tagle, President of CCDC, warmly welcomed the students and reminded them to persevere despite challenges as they will be the next professionals to contribute to the community.
The scholars are part of the thousands of college students who applied last year and qualified for the same program of CHED, through the initiaitive of Governor Diclas. They are set to receive P15,000 annually.
