Milk and Learning Materials Distributed to CDCS

“Agiyaman kami Governor Diclas ta narikna mi iti suporta yu para kadagiti Child Development Workers tayo”, said Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Juana Bannawe during the turn-over of packs of milk and toys to representatives from each of the 13 municipalities of Benguet on September 9, 2021.

Governor Dr. Melchor DaguinesDiclas and Ms. Bannawe led the distribution of packs of milk and learning materials which will be used by daycare pupils in the different Child Development Centers (CDCs) in the province.

This is under the yearly Food-for-Growth Program and Provision of Daycare Learning Materials Program of the Provincial Government through the Office of the PSWDO.

According to Ms. Bannawe, the boxes of milk will benefit over 8,200 children in the different municipalities. This is part of the office’s aim at maintaining normal or improving the nutritional status of children aged four and below who are enrolled at CDCs.

Further, the age-appropriate learning materials will be delivered to the 460 CDCs in the province which will be used to help promote the optimum growth and development of daycare children.

Governor Diclas allotted P1.8M for the Food-for-Growth Program and another P1.1M for the Provision of Daycare Materials Program as part of his HEALTHIER Benguet agenda.

Meanwhile, Governor Diclas expressed his appreciation to the CDWs who continue to sacrifice as they ensure learning among the children even amid the CoVID-19 pandemic, as well as to the office of Ms. Bannawe for their successful implementation of the government programs.
