Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas inspects the ongoing rehabilitation of a slide-prone section of Jose Mencio provincial road in Atok, Benguet. The P5-million project is funded by the provincial government to ensure road safety for locals as part of the HEALTHIER Benguet framework of Gov. Diclas.

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
