The Provincial Government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas is one with the nation in commemorating the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. Republic Act No. 10966 declares December 8 of every year as a special (non-working) day in the country to commemorate this day.

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
