Today we commemorate our brave heroes who fought and laid down their lives for the independence of our nation. May we, the leaders of the present time, renew our commitment to preserve the freedom we enjoy as we work together for the welfare of the people and build a great nation. HAPPY 124th INDEPENDENCE DAY! A greeting from Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas.

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
