Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas welcomes Canada’s Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Peter MacArthur, during his courtesy visit to the Benguet Provincial Capitol on Monday morning, June 20, 2022. Both discussed concerns on agriculture, health, tourism, and environment which are part of the current administration’s political thrust.

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
