La Trinidad Wins 2024 Adivay Agr-Booth Competition

 

La Trinidad emerged victorious in the 2024 Adivay Agri-Booth Competition, securing the top prize of P110,000.00 for their creative and innovative showcase of local products.

 

The competition which is a feature of the Adivay Agri-Fair, is part of the celebration of the 124th Founding Anniversary of Benguet with the theme: “Embracing Our Heritage: Co-Creating a HEALTHIER Benguet.”

 

The agri-fair ran from November 18 to December 4, 2024, at the Benguet Cold Chain in Wangal, La Trinidad, featuring creative booths and landscapes. Each of the 13 municipalities participated, highlighting their creativity and the richness of the agricultural heritage of Benguet.

 

Winners of the Agri-Booth Competition:

1st Place: La Trinidad – P110,000.00

2nd Place: Itogon – P100,000.00

3rd Place: Tublay – P90,000.00

4th Place: Buguias – P80,000.00

5th Place: Kibungan – P70,000.00

6th Place: Bakun – P60,000.00

 

Consolation Prize Recipients (P50,000.00 each):

Sablan, Tuba, Bokod, Kabayan, Mankayan, Kapangan, and Atok.

 

Special Awards for Sales Performance:

3rd Highest: Sablan – P592,866.00

2nd Highest: Bokod – P670,797.00

Top Sales: Bakun – P729,804.00

 

During the awarding ceremony held on December 4, Governor Dr. Melchor DaguinesDiclas expressed his gratitude to all municipalities and partners for their teamwork, dedication, and commitment in promoting local products.

 

The Agri-Fair was spearheaded by the Provincial Agriculture Office headed by Delinia Juan, Provincial Agriculturist.

GOV. DICLAS LEADS JOB PERFORMANCE SURVEY IN CORDI

Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas emerged as the frontrunner in a recent job performance survey conducted by Hypothesis Philippines in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

The independent and non-commissioned survey, conducted from December 17 to 30, 2023, garnered insights from 10,000 respondents in the different provinces in the region. The primary objective was to assess the job performances of the governors serving in the Cordillera region.

Governor Diclas secured a 93.7% job performance rating positioning him as the top performer in the survey. He was followed by Kalinga Governor James Edduba who received a rating of 93.4%, and Abra Governor Dominic Valera, with 92.8% rating.

According to Hypothesis Philippines’ social media post, the survey, dubbed “PULSO NG BAYAN,” engaged registered voters aged 18 to 70 residing in CAR. The sampling margin of error stood at +1/-1 percentage points with a confidence level of 95%. Respondents were randomly selected ensuring a fair representation across different cities and municipalities based on population voting data.

“The PULSO NG BAYAN 2024 serves as a reflection of the Filipino voice, providing valuable insights and avenues for governance that align with the needs and aspirations of the people,” the post highlighted.

As Benguet and the Cordillera region as a whole continue its journey towards development, Governor Diclas with his leadership anchored on his HEALTHIER Benguet Agenda remains commited to effective and responsive governance.

OVER 1,200 TABLETS DONATED TO BENGUET SDO FOR INDIGENT BENGUET STUDENTS

Provincial Officials headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas have recently handed over a donation of 1,209 tablets to the Schools Division Office of Benguet.

The tablets which are intended for indigent students are poised to aid learning methodologies and empower the basic education learners in their studies.

Governor Diclas expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) for their donation that made the procurement of the tablets possible. Acknowledging Congressman Eric Go Yap who sourced out the funds from PAGCOR, Governor Diclas emphasized the collaborative effort that made this initiative a reality.

Of the P10,998,000.00 donation, Governor Diclas highlighted that there is a remaining amount exceeding P4.3 million which will be earmarked for the subsequent procurement of additional tablets to extend the benefits of digital learning tools to even more students in the province.

Governor Diclas, in collaboration with Congressman Yap, reiterated their firm commitment in supporting and improving education in the province.

In their endeavors, construction of school facilities has been one of the major priorities to ensure that students have conducive environments for learning. Recently, the Provincial LGU has also recently hired Guidance Associates to promote the psychosocial welfare of students.
