The Benguet delegation composed of Provincial and municipal officials and employees joined the celebration of the 38th Cordillera Month on July 15, at Baguio Convention Center, Baguio City.

This year’s celebration, as hosted by Baguio City, centered on the theme, “Securing the future of a unified Cordillera.”

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
