385 Farmers in Kabayan Receive Cash Aid

SOME 385 farmers in Kabayan, Benguet received financial assistance from the government to help them cope with the challenges brought by the present pandemic.

Each of the farmers received P5,000 .

Benguet Governor Dr. Melchor DaguinesDiclas and Congressman Eric Go Yap continue to source out funds for financial assistance programs to aid people in need especially during this pandemic.

Aside from the CoVID-19 crisis, farmers have also experienced challenges brought by the onslaught of the past typhoons.

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
