Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas has been sending personnel of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) to conduct road clearing activities in the different municipalities to ensure the continuity of road access especially for farmers. Various farm-to-market road projects have also been implemented through the initiative of Governor Diclas.

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
