With the threat of the increasing number of CoVID-19 cases, the executive order of Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas requiring non-Benguet residents to present a negative RT-PCR test result or a vaccination card (fully vaxxed) at the checkpoint before entry to the province is still in effect.
Though the province is still under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), those who are below 15 years old, above 65 year old, those with immunodeficiency, comorbidity, or other health risks, and pregnant women are not allowed to go out of their residences.
With the onslaught of monsoon rains last month, several farm-to-market roads have been closed making it challenging for farmers to deliver their produce to the market.
Among the affected FMRs is the 1.5-kilometer Tapaya-Mawini-Lab-ang farm-to-market road in Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet.
Recently, Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas has sent personnel of the Benguet Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) to conduct a clearing activity on several portions of the said FMR.
