Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas graces the simple celebration of the 58th barangay founding anniversary of barangay Eddet in Kabayan, Benguet as the guest speaker. During the event, several provincial LGU funded projects were also turned over to the barangay LGU.

Driven by its mission: Ensure Improvement of Quality of Life in Benguet, the Province of Benguet obtained a human development index of 0.883 in 2009. The province of Benguet promises its constituents high age expectancy, accessible high caliber education and more than sufficient way of living. This, however, can't be achieved without the help of its people.

The cultural beliefs and innate characteristics of the people made it possible for them to strive and develop higher quality of life without destroying the cradle that they live in.
