A greeting from Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas

A two-storey school building will soon be erected at Puguis National High School in Longlong, Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas said the Provincial Government of Benguet allocated P6 million for the construction of the said school building to help decongest the number students learning in a classroom and to provide them a better facility conducive to learning.

Constancia Jane Abodiles, Puguis NHS school head, said one of their major concerns is overcrowded classrooms. She said they only have eight classrooms being used by 283 students who are currently enrolled at the school.

The new school building will have four classrooms which can accommodate at least 160 students.
Abodiles thanked the provincial government for considering the project as it will also help them with their application for the opening of Senior High School. She said they are planning to open Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) track to provide their students access to vocational courses.
The project broke ground on May 6, 2022 with 254 calendar days to complete. The ground breaking ceremony was graced by Board Member Nestor Fongwan Jr., employees of the Provincial LGU, PTA officers, and personnel of Puguis NHS.
