AMBURAYAN RIVER

It is a potential natural attraction found in Pasdong Naguey. This river is considered the largest river system in Atok and serves as the primary water source for the rice fields and vegetable farms. Some portion of the river is an ideal place for picnicking, swimming, fishing and camping.

The place can be reached by hitching a ride through the Public Utility Jeepney’s (PUJs) plying via Halsema highway going to Km. 30. The travel may take for about two hours drive. It may also take a few minutes to hike the river.

GUERRILLA SADDLE

It is an existing natural attraction found in Caliking. This place is remarkable because it is where the guerillas of the WW II fought side by side with the United States Army Forces Far East (USAFFE) against the Zetreating Japanese Soldiers.

It serves as stopover for travelers most specially the farmers plying along Halsema highway.  The travel time may take for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes from La Trinidad.

NATUMPUKAN HALF TUNNEL

 This is an existing man-made attraction on the municipality of Atok; popularly known as the ‘’ Half Tunnel’’. It was built in the early 1950’s after the road eroded. Having no other alternative route, the rock was carved in a half tunnel- shape measuring 50 meters long. Up to this time, it remained as an engineering feat.

It is about 42 kilometers far from La Trinidad; approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from La Trinidad.

BOSLENG LOURDES GROTTO

This is a potential man-made attraction found in the municipality of Atok. Local residents believed that the grotto played an important role in one of the international pilgrimage conducted by the Catholic Church. The cold climate and the serene atmosphere of the place make it ideal for prayer retreats and meditations.

It is about 54 kilometers from La Trinidad. When in Sayangan, Atok, Benguet vehicles for hire are available going to Bosleng.

HAIGHTS PLACE/MOSSY FOREST

This is an existing attraction of the municipality of Atok. It is about 7,937 ft. above sea level. Due to its high altitude, the place experiences frost during the month of December to February. Moreover, the place offers a spectacular view of the peculiar vegetable farms including the famous Naguey rice terraces. The place was also adopted as a friendship park commemorating the 40 years of sisterhood between Benguet and Kochi prefecture of Japan.

The place was named after Mr. Haight, an American soldier who brought the first vegetable seedlings in the place.  The BENGUET-KOCHI sisterhood park is also located in this area. The place can be reached through foot path from the plains of Paoay. It is about 54 kilometers from La Trinidad. NAGUEY RICE TERRACES

This is a potential man- made attraction of the municipality of Atok.  It was built by the community’s ancestors located near Amburayan River. This place is very remarkable because this is where the native rice ‘’ Kintuman’’ are propagated.

SPANISH TRAIL 

This is an existing man-made attraction found in the municipality of Atok. It was constructed during the Spanish period however it is visible up to this time. This place is prominent because of the three long man-made tunnels measuring for about 10 meters each. Currently the trail is being used by residents and student in the area.

The place is 44 kilometers away from the City of Baguio. Tourist may ask assistance from the Barangay Office of Paoay.

ADEVONAN WATERFALLS

It is a potential natural attraction found in Banayakeo, Poblacion. The falls is 90 ft high. The natural pool below the falls was used by soldiers as a bathing place during WW II. It is still Being used by the local people for the same purpose.

PUJs regularly ply to Sitio Banayakeo where it takes a kilometer hike to the place. The site can also be reached from Tublay, although with a much longer hike.

HIGHEST POINT VIEW

It is an emerging natural attraction found in Cattubo. The site highest point in the country under the Philippine highway system, at an elevation of 7,400 ft above sea level. It is called the Philippine Pali because of its resemblance with Pali Hawaii. From the view deck, the invigorating climate enhances the visual splendor of the vegetable gardens and the mountain ranges of Atok, Tublay, Bokod and Kabayan. Including the lofty and majestic Mt. Pulag. It is located at km 53 along the Halsema highway, which is about 2-hours drive from La Trinidad, the capital town of the province.

PAASIN VIEW POINT

It is a potential natural attraction found in Topdac. It provides a panoramic view of the Ambuclao Dam (second biggest man-made on Asia) and the mountain ranges nearby that serves as the dam’s watershed area. The view point is located at km 32 along the Halsema Higway.

BENGUET-KOCHI SISTERHOOD PARK

 The BENGUET-KOCHI sisterhood park is a friendship park commemorating the 40 years of sisterhood between Benguet and Kochi prefecture of Japan. It is located within the Haight’s place (Mr. Haight is an American soldier who brought the first vegetable seedlings in the place). It is about 7, 937 ft. above sea level. Due to its high altitude, the place experiences frost during the month of December to February. The park is about 54 kilometers from La Trinidad. When in Sayangan, Atok, vehicles for hire are available going to the park.

ADIVAY FESTIVAL (Province wide)

It is a month-long provincial celebration held November of every year. The “Grand Canao” and cultural presentations from the 13 municipalities are some of its highlights. The products of all 13 municipalities are displayed/exhibited for sale during the affair. This is an event that is being looked forward to by all I-benguets.
