Natural Attractions found in Kapangan
It is a potential natural attraction found in Beleng-Belis. This mountain offers scenic views of the lowlands and other parts of Benguet. Visitors may also do activities such as trekking, mountain climbing, nature communing and others.
From Baguio City, this range called ‘’Dontog’’ is 43 kilometers away. Dakiwagan and Upper Amanayao are nearer. The farthest in terms of walking distance from the Barangay station is Mt. Amanayao with 12-kilometers distance, which is approximately 4 hours hike. Balabag is 10 kilometers; Dakiwagan is about 4 kilometers; and Amkiyet which is about 2.5 kilometers.
It is a potential natural attraction found in Balakbak located at the foot of Mt. Dakiwagan. It has numbers of entrance and exit points making it more convenient and accessible. The scenic views inside the cave include massive and complex rock formations, glittering pillars and captivating stalactites and stalagmites.
It is about 45 kilometers far from Baguio City and is about 14 kilometers far from the Municipal hall at Lomon.
It is a potential natural attraction found in Kapangan and Atok. It serves as the primary water source of the agricultural sites in the place and a fishing ground for the local. It is ideal for swimming, fishing, camping and picnicking. Some of the fishes that can be found in the river are eel, pasayan, bunog, wading and kampa.
The river is about 40 kilometers far from La Trinidad, approximately 2 hours ride via the Tublay-Kapangan road and is about 6 kilometers far from the municipal hall of Kapangan.
These are potential natural attractions found in Beleng- Belis. Pul-agan falls is about 20 meters high, Cotinge falls of about 30 meters high, Ginawang falls of about 25 meters high and Dageyadey falls of about 15 meters high. These falls are suitable for swimming, picnicking and other related outdoor activities.
The museum was built on the site where the first municipal building was erected. History says that the Japanese soldiers tortured their Filipino prisoners in the area. Artifacts and other items of value related with the place’s history, culture and traditions are managed by the MLGU.
These are indigenous rice terraces where native varieties of rice ‘’ Kintoman’’ are propagated; it adds beauty to the mountains of Beleng-Belis.
The cave was used by the local as an evacuation area during the past world wars however; there is a need for further research to strengthen its historical value.
It is 36 kilometers away from La Trinidad via the Acop-Kapangan road. The cave is 4 kilometers from the Barangay vehicle turning point which is about 1 and a half hour hike.
