To promote the Province of Benguet as a must-see tourist destination in the Cordilleras.


  • Recommend policies tha would stimulate tourism-related investments and provide livelihood oppurtunities in the province;
  • Advise the Provincial Governor on tourism support infrastructure and other tourism/culture development matters;
  • Coordinate with the private sector and other partner agencies on the development of tourist facilities and services;
  • Enhance the appreciation and preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the province by conducting cultural awareness briefings and consultations;
  • Initiate objectives ,plans,procedures and practices that would ensure the safe,convenient,enjoyable stay and travel of visitors to the province.

Functional Statement:

    • Enact ordinances, approves resolutions and appropriate funds for the general welfare of the province and  its inhabitants pursuant to Section 16 of the LGC in the proper exercise of the corporate powers of the Province as provided for under Section 22 of the code.
    • Approve ordinances and pass resolutions necessary for an efficient and effective Provincial Government.
    • Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.


A. For Sangguniang Panlalawigan:

To formulate quality legislations necessary, appropriate or incidental for the efficient and effective governance to promote the general welfare of the people of Benguet.

B. For the Staff:

To efficiently assist the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members in the formulation of quality legislation and to make an improved

legislative tracking, monitoring and research.


A. Formulation of quality legislations.

Conduct of meetings and conferences, and formulation of resolutions and ordinances

Preparation of agenda and minutes, resolutions and ordinances, research and stenography.
